With flagging occupancy in their memory care neighborhood, our client partner was in need of quality health care leads. Because a move to memory care is often triggered by an event – perhaps a senior’s family discovers their loved one is getting lost when out and about or can no longer manage safely at home – awareness of a community’s higher levels of care is imperative before we can even convert qualified seniors to lead status.

Educating Prospects Brings Awareness
When the community has a strong dementia program, awareness efforts that involve educating the public about topics around health and wellness can do double duty: setting the community up as a viable choice for memory care and positioning the community as a thought leader in the care space.
With an approach that put all agency subject matter experts in the room with the community’s team, Angell Marketing and the client determined step one was promoting a senior health and wellness fair on campus with a targeted direct mail. Sharing nutrition information, health screenings, caregiver resources and advanced care education at an on-campus event allowed the community to showcase their expertise and higher levels of care.
We also designed an awareness direct mail piece, highlighting assisted living and memory care. The messaging called out support services and educational opportunities for those caring for someone with dementia, emphasizing that the community can care for your loved one and also be your go-to resource for all things memory care.
We adjusted PPC strategy and created and deployed an eblast that mirrored the awareness direct mail.
